Portland: Keeping It Weird
The Hawthorne Bridge Centennial Celebration was very much 'Portland' all the way around in all of it's glory or should I say weirdness! Thought I was going to hear live music and see a multimedia show on the bridge as part of the Bridge Festival ... all of which I did, but not in the way I expected. Why would I expect anything different than what we found, I don't know. It is Portland I'm talking about. Thus, Portland is what you get! Although I'm not sure exactly what they thought, I was happy to have friends join me for the late night 'party' on the bridge. It wasn't your typical marching band to say the least.
I like the way you put it, "Portland is what you get!" Dad and I get Portland to be a very fun place, but it looks like you find it even more fun. Relish this season in your life Michelle and we'll look forward to seeing all that you bring to us through your blog.
